Restaurant G. Cheong Fun 明记猪腸粉

Chee cheong fun 猪腸粉 is eaten with soy sauce and sesame oil with spring onions and toasted sesame seeds here in Singapore or at least how I like it. I was in Malaysia a few weeks ago with friends and one of my friends was craving for CCF so this was recommended.

Here in Malaysia, they sell chee cheong fun with curry. The rice sheets were cut into long strips like kway teow and served to us already well-mixed with the curry gravy. Totally Mind blown about this local dish can go so well with curry. The curry is not spicy at all but is mild in taste but aromatic.

We also had the 安顺猪肠粉 which is also different from what we had in Singapore. It is stuffed with Jicama, salted & dried radish and dried shrimp giving the soft and pillowy CCF an added crunchy texture that goes well together. Not sure why Yong tau foo is sold here. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
