THE ULTIMATE GUIDE TO CAFES IN BUKIT TIMAH
15) Rider’s Cafe We alighted at a bus stop at Dunearn Road and then walked in from Eng Neo Avenue. As we don’t drive, we had to walk in and it is a LONG journey. The road aren’t exactly people friendly. I suggest people who are going there to drive in. Rider cafe started in July 2007. The place is located beside ranches and you can probably see some horses outside the window. The decor is nicely decorated and place looks cozy for a lovely afternoon brunch.

14) Choupinette
The cafe is quite small and squeezy but gives off a cozy vibe. They not only sell main dishes but sell bread and cakes as well. So here I am trying out their egg royals set. Their egg benedicts are poached perfectly and the toast at the bottom is crispy but not overly hard to chew. Only problem is their salmon is too thin! It’s not salty though! Their set menu consists of one main dish, one juice choice and coffee or tea. Wish they would be more generous with their salmon servings and it would be nicer if I can replace one drink choice with a desert. A nice cake would be a good compliment to the awesome egg Benedict.

13) Brew Maison Cafe
They’re a Japanese Korean fusion cafe. Their design is quite Korean tbh. It gives off a very pastel and country vibe with the wooden fences and colorful walls. They also have a small pot of flowers at each table as decorations. Also like i said, they have no latte art whatsoever. LOL. But i was kind of drawn to them because of the quiet environment. idk why their cafe is always like a ghost town every night but it is such a conducive environment for me to study and work on my assignments! Yay for me but probably bad for them? :X Their location is quite ULU though. It is situated near singapore chinese girls school and in the middle of no where. I guess it somehow affects their business.

Crown bakery & cafe is another great cafe along Bukit Timah road. They have a really nice blue interior with black and white checkered floors and lamps resembling their crown logo. Food can be abit expensive here but you pay what you get! Most importantly they have WIFI here. Best to chill outside with your laptop on a windy day sipping a cup of hot coffee~ with some yummy deserts. As the name suggests this place is a bakery, so of cos there would be bread! Did not order any bread or main dishes as i was here to leech on their wifi and i had my lunch before. :X

10) The Bakery By Woodlands Sourdough
The Bakery By Woodlands Sourdough is rather interesting, as in i do not know any cafe that specializes in these kind of toasts? This cafe is also rather small in size. Apart of from where i am seated, there are probably around 4–5 small tables that can probably seat 12 more people and then the table below is probably not suitable for anyone cos weather too hot and can rain anytime. I was there when it was about to rain and the wind is freaking strong? wtf, the vase with the dried flowers looks like it was about to fly off anytime. scary AF.

I went to this cafe on one of the day when i had to go to school. I believe it was on a weekend. As they are opened super early on a weekend at 9am, i had the chance to go here for breakfast before i head to school. Do check this cafe out if you’re looking for healthy food. :)

Good cozy place with free wifi! Have seen students or people in general who brought their laptops to work there. Most importantly is that they have the $9.90 promotion for students. The affogato bar is one of a kind in Singapore as the first cafe to specialise in affogato. It’s 15 seaters capacity is kind of limited and it can get kind of crowded during the weekends. True to its name, the cafe sells affogato. They also sell the usual coffee and bagels. I had the Breakfast Club bagel and it was delicious!

1) CAKE AVENUE Cake avenue is an halal cafe that is located at Lorong Kilat. The cafe was well-lit with diner booths and spaced out seating areas. The quaint cafe was decorated in with pastel lanterns and was kind of themed in yellow and green? Cake Avenue like their name suggests specialize in baking cakes. They do customized orders through their website and also walk-in i guess. They serves a variety of food from All day breakfasts, salads, bread, pastas, baked rice, and main dishes such as Poached Alaskan Salmon Fillet, Fish & chips, and cheese burgers. I was there during dinner time and there was zero customers. I love shops that have the create a pasta/baked rice option. You can have different combinations and it is so much fun!
