The Chinese New Year, also the Spring Festival is the most anticipated festival of the Chinese calendar — time for reconnecting with family and friends and spending precious time together. What better way to create memorable Spring Festival moments and celebrate the dawn of new beginnings, than being on the same table, and enjoying a scrumptious yet healthy meal.

From 7 Jan till 8 Feb 2020, diners can indulge in Elemen 元素 new “Prosper-Licious” eight-course set-menu, exquisitely created with a harmonized combination of the freshest and natural ingredients that present a mouth-watering and wholesome meal packed with meatless protein, perfect for family celebrations and even business festive feasting.

Upholding the tradition of masterfully created dishes at Elemen 元素, executive chef / general manager Mr Andy Kueh and his team have put together a bevvy of speciality dishes steeped in Chinese New Year elements, and each auspiciously named, for this festive season.

Priced at just S$43.80++ person, the Prosper-Licious eight-course set menu comprises of the signature elemen Prosper Appetiser (元素迎新三品) to kick start the meal, the Double-boiled sea treasure soup (双炖吉祥珍宝汤), Fire Cracker Nest (如意爆竹金丝巢), Crispy Golden Tofu with Spicy Mushroom Sauce (金玉满堂脆皮豆腐), Kumquat Sorbet (金吉雪葩), Black Truffle with Mushroom Claypot Rice (黑松露野菌煲仔饭), Sticky Date Pudding with Orange Sauce (蜜枣蛋糕配香橙酱) and the Pineapple Orange Sparkling Punch (旺来凤梨橘子特调) to end off the meal on a sweet note.

King oyster mushroom enveloped by a thin slice of cucumber, topped with grated ginger. I have always loved the crunchiness of king oyster mushrooms. I like how they innovate to create dishes that resemble our local food. This was made to taste like steam chicken. What do you think?

Cherry tomato soaked in sour plum sauce, on a bed of Osmanthus Jelly. The cherry tomato was extra juicy having soaked up all the sauce.

Caramelised Monkey Head Mushroom on top of rock sugar which oddly taste like chicken too. I love it!

We also had the Double-boiled sea treasures soup which features Abalone mushroom, Bamboo shoot, Vegan sea cucumber in a thick rich broth made with dang gui, cauliflower & mixed vegetables.

The firecracker nest was interesting which features a mala spices with fried Monkey Head Mushroom in a Meekia Nest. The mushrooms remind me so much of Popcorn Chicken!

Next, we had the Mapo Tofu inspired dish which was the Crispy Golden Tofu with Spicy Mushroom sauce.

Love the sorbet. It is creamy and has a citrusy tang to it. The kumquat wedge on top has a melt-in-the-mouth texture which was so good!
